Pilar Maravi serves as an Adjunct Professor specializing in Medical Spanish within the Cultural Studies Department at Emory & Henry College. Originally from Peru, she relocated to the United States in 1996 and has taught Spanish language courses continuously since 2002 across multiple institutions including Arcadia University, La Salle University, and the Community College of Philadelphia.
Her academic background includes:
- Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón (Lima, Peru, 1982)
- Master's in Spanish and Portuguese with concentration in Mediaeval Literature from Temple University
- PhD in Spanish Art and Medieval Literature from Temple University (completed 2014 after achieving ABD status in 2008)
