Pierre Van Damme is a full Professor in Vaccinology at the University of Antwerp’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences since 2000. As founding Director of the Centre for the Evaluation of Vaccination (CEV), a WHO Collaborating Centre, he has led over 500 vaccine trials and pioneered innovative projects like Poliopolis and the new Vaccinopolis facility for human challenge trials. His work spans vaccine development, epidemiology, and public health strategies.
