معرفی
Pierre-Luc Landry (he/they) is an Associate Professor at the University of Victoria's School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures, specializing in French and Francophone Studies, with cross-appointments in Media Studies and Cultural, Social, and Political Thought. Born in 1984 in Québec, Landry's work bridges queer theory, Indigenous studies, settler colonial critique, and experimental writing, often collaborating with the Wabanaki territory's cultural context.
- PhD, MA, BA in Research-Creation (Université Laval)
- SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship (University of Ottawa)
His research interrogates queer resistance through literature, media, and cultural productions, emphasizing anti-assimilationist frameworks and interdisciplinary research-creation methodologies. Publications like QuébeQueer (2020) and La guerre est dans les mots (2022) challenge normative representations while exploring intersectional narratives.
Landry co-hosts the podcast J’habite où je lutte and directs UVic's research groups on Colonialism, Culture & Critique and Queer Research in Quebec (ÉRÉQQ). As a non-binary demiboy, his creative work often blends personal vulnerability with radical political discourse.
- SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship
- Ottawa Book Prize (2016)
- Best Book Award (APFUCC, 2021)
His affiliations span the Esthetics and Politics of Cinematic Images (EPIC) collective and UVic's Sex, Gender, and Sexuality Researchers. Landry's teaching spans institutions like Royal Military College of Canada and Université Laval, focusing on queer theory, Indigenous literatures, and media practice.
