Pia Wäistö is a Visiting Professor (Faculty) at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, School of Science, Aalto University, while concurrently pursuing a doctoral degree. Her research focuses on understanding how knowledge-intensive organizations create customer value, with emphasis on the impact of AI and hybrid working models. She holds a Master of Culture and Arts from LAB University of Applied Sciences (2021) and a prior degree in Economics (1995).
Recent work includes a 2024 article analyzing workspace strategies in 25 knowledge-intensive organizations, published in Facilities. Her research integrates organizational strategy, success factors, and technological adaptation. Collaborations span interdisciplinary networks, reflecting her interest in contemporary organizational challenges.
