Pia Majbritt Jensen

Pia Majbritt Jensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media Studies at the School of Communication and Culture, Aarhus University, Denmark. Her research focuses on youth media consumption, transnational television, and the digital transformation of audiovisual content for children and adolescents.

Her research interests include children's media, media literacy, transnational TV drama, serial fiction, and the global reception of Nordic content. She investigates how young audiences engage with streaming platforms, perceive quality, and navigate cultural identities through media. Her work emphasizes audience behavior, media production shifts, and the challenges facing public service broadcasters in retaining youth viewership.
