Phyo Myint is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Medical School. He holds qualifications including an MBBS from the Institute of Medicine in Yangon (1995), MD from UEA (2007), and FRCPE from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (2010). His research focuses on stroke epidemiology, cardiovascular ageing, healthy ageing, and COPD management in elderly populations. He has led projects on stroke outcomes, anticholinergic burden assessment, and care home pharmacist interventions.
Key responsibilities include academic leadership roles such as Co-Course Director for the MSc in Health Research and Module Coordinator for Stroke Management. He contributes to editorial boards of BMC Health Services Research and Open Heart Failure Journal.
