She holds an MBChB from Makerere University, an MSc in International Health from University College London/University of Copenhagen/University of Bergen, and a PhD from the University of Bergen.

- Community-based healthcare innovation
Dr. Awor's publications consistently explore strategies for improving access to care through private-sector partnerships in Uganda. Her 2012-2018 studies demonstrate a focus on evidence-based solutions for integrated disease management at drug shops, using quasi-experimental designs and systematic reviews to inform health policy.
She maintains active collaboration networks across institutions in Uganda, Norway, Denmark, and the UK.
