Phillip Melton is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the School of Population and Global Health, University of Western Australia. He holds a Research Fellow academic rank and specializes in statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology. His research focuses on complex disease genetics, epigenetics, and family-based genetic studies.
He has been involved in multiple grants including funding from the National Health & Medical Research Council, National Institute of Health, and Royal Perth Hospital Medical Research Foundation. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being (SDG 3).
Key research interests include DNA methylation patterns, cardiovascular genetics, and the genetic epidemiology of conditions like pre-eclampsia and musculoskeletal pain.
