Phillip Camp is a Professor in the College of Bible at Lipscomb University, where he teaches Old Testament and Hebrew courses. He holds a BA from Cornell University, MA in Religion from Lipscomb University, MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and PhD from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education.
His research focuses on Old Testament theology, biblical prayer, and seminary pedagogy. Key publications include works on Deuteronomy’s relevance to modern churches, prayer in ancient Israel, and seminary life guidance. He co-edits interdisciplinary volumes exploring Old Testament themes for contemporary significance.
Camp actively serves as a preaching/teaching minister at Natchez Trace Church of Christ in Nashville, blending academic expertise with pastoral ministry. His career includes campus ministry roles in Nashville, Ithaca, and Princeton.
