Philippe Seminet is a tenured Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at St. Edward's University (School of Arts and Humanities). He holds a PhD in French Literature from the University of Texas, Austin (1999), an MA in French Literature from the University of Florida (1992), and a BA in Philosophy from New College of Florida (1987). His research focuses on French Enlightenment literature and philosophy, particularly examining themes like libertinism, deism, atheism, and the evolution of the novel. He also investigates language pedagogy and technological integration in education, emphasizing web-based course development to enhance accessibility. Seminet has presented at numerous academic conferences, including discussions on Sade’s works, Diderot’s writings, and digital language learning.
