Philippe Bousso

Philippe Bousso is Head of the Department of Immunology at Institut Pasteur in Paris, France, and Director of the Laboratory Dynamics of Immune Responses (Inserm U668) since 2005. As an Inserm Research Director (DR1), he leads cutting-edge research in immunological processes with significant contributions to the field.

Dr. Bousso's research focuses on the dynamics of immune responses, particularly in the contexts of cancer, infection, inflammation, and immunotherapy. His innovative work combines advanced imaging techniques with immunological approaches to understand cellular interactions in vivo. His laboratory investigates how immune cells organize and function during various pathological conditions, with implications for developing novel therapeutic strategies.

With an impressive record of 95 publications and an h-index of 36, his scientific impact is substantial. His research has attracted significant recognition through numerous prestigious awards including two ERC grants (Starting in 2011 and Advanced in 2017), EMBO membership, and multiple honors from French academic institutions.
