Prof. Philip KUNIG is a Professor of Public Law at the Faculty of Law, Freie Universität Berlin. He holds honorary doctorates from the University of Athens and Istanbul University. His career includes roles as Director of the Institute of Public Law and International Law, Deputy Dean, Dean, and Senate Member at Freie Universität Berlin. He also serves as Vice President of the Turkish-German University Consortium and teaches Public Law and International Law at its Faculty of Law since 2013.

Research Focus: Specializes in German constitutional law, international legal frameworks, and cross-border legal studies, particularly in Turkish-German contexts. His work bridges academic and practical legal systems in Europe and Asia.
Professional Contributions: Served on Berlin Constitutional Court (1992-2000), coordinated German-Turkish legal projects, and held visiting professorships in Japan, China, Southeast Asia, and Turkey. Advised the Rector of Freie Universität Berlin (2016-2022).
