Philip J. Landrigan is a Professor and Dean for Global Health at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He also teaches epidemiology and environmental medicine at the University of Global Health Equity in Butaro, Rwanda, and mentors Harvard students, trainees, and faculty.
His research interests include:

Dr. Landrigan’s work has had significant policy impacts, including his 1993 National Academy of Sciences report on pesticides in children’s diets, which led to the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996. He also played a central role in the passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health Act (2010) following studies on post-9/11 health consequences. His research spans environmental epidemiology, children’s health, and global health delivery.
