معرفی
Philip Herbert is a Researcher affiliated with the University of Koblenz, focusing on Partial Differential Equations (PDE) and their applications in biological systems. His work emphasizes numerical analysis in non-standard settings, particularly involving biological membranes and embedded particles. Previously at the University of Warwick, he completed his MMath (2016) and MASDOC MSc, with projects on the stationary Navier-Stokes equations and biomembrane modeling under Prof. James Robinson and others.
- Research: Investigates point particles in biomembranes and second-order splitting methods for fourth-order PDEs.
- Collaborations: Worked with Prof. C.M. Elliott, Carsten Gräser, and Ralf Kornhuber (FU Berlin).
- Visiting: Conducted research at FU Berlin (2019) via the Research Alumni Program.
Teaching experience includes supervising mathematics students and teaching assistant roles at Warwick for courses like MA250 Introduction to PDE and MA3H0 Numerical Analysis and PDEs. He actively contributed to academic governance as Chair of the SGSLC and MASDOC SSLC committees.
