Dr. Philip Baird is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, Duquesne University. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses such as Security Analysis, Fund Management, and Financial Management. From 2021 to 2024, he served as Chair of the Economics and Finance Department. His research focuses on equity valuation, corporate finance, and securities analysis, with publications in journals like the Quarterly Journal of Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Education, and Journal of Business Ethics.
- Education: PhD and MBA in Finance from the University of Tennessee.
- Awards: Palumbo-Donahue School of Business Outstanding Educator Award (2010), Kurt Rethwisch Outstanding Teacher Award (2001, 2007).
