Dr Phil Smith is a Research Associate at the Children's Social Care Research and Development Centre (CASCADE), School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University. His work focuses on social care, youth welfare, and participatory research methods. Current projects include exploring the role of personal advisors in Wales with care-experienced young people as co-researchers. Prior roles include leading studies on care-experienced PRU leavers and school-based social work interventions.
