Phil Hooper is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science at Wrexham University, with extensive experience in pre-hospital care and remote clinical environments. He transitioned from an engineering background to paramedicine, joining South Central Ambulance Service in 2010 and qualifying as a Paramedic in 2015 through Oxford Brookes University.
His career includes roles as a Hazardous Area Response Team member, ambulance staff trainer, control room operator, and current work in Primary Care. He actively contributes to Mountain Rescue teams, combining his passion for mountainous environments with clinical practice, and trains Remote Area Medical Technicians.
