Pheobe H. Boynton

Pheobe H. Boynton serves as a Lecturer in Costume Design within the Department of Theatre & Dance at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), College of Letters, Arts & Sciences, and concurrently holds an Adjunct Professor position at Chadron State College. Her professional base is the Theatreworks costume shop in Colorado Springs, where she has designed costumes for four seasons.

She earned a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Cornell University and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This academic foundation combines historical art knowledge with specialized theatrical production training.

Boynton's creative focus centers on costume design's transformative role in performance, particularly the pivotal moment when actors cease seeing themselves and begin embodying their characters through costume.
