Prof. Petra Stanat is the Director of the Institute for Quality Improvement in Education (IQB) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Head of the Department of Education and Integration. She holds a professorship in empirical educational research and has led institutions like the Central Institute for Research on Teaching and Learning. Her work focuses on educational equity, particularly for immigrant youth, and second language acquisition. She coordinates major projects funded by DFG and BMBF, including analyses of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) and interventions in language development.
