Petra Ryden is an Associate Professor at the Department of Food, Nutrition and Culinary Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Umeå University. She serves as Deputy Head of Department, Director of Studies, and Directory Coordinator, focusing on education management and curriculum development.
Her research explores:
- Digital health technology for dietetic treatment (Dietitian Online/DiOn project)
- Impact of food pricing on dietary choices
- Innovative teaching methods in higher education
- Long-term dietary adaptation in special populations
She supervises doctoral student Sarah Persson and leads the ongoing Dietitian Online project. Selected publications reveal expertise in digital healthcare delivery, nutritional economics, and dietary behavior change.
