معرفی
Clinical Professor Peter Youssef is a full-time academic rheumatologist at the University of Sydney’s Central Clinical School, Discipline of Medicine. He leads large-scale Australian real-world studies evaluating the safety, effectiveness and cost implications of biologic and targeted synthetic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) across rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and systemic sclerosis cohorts.
Research foci:
- Comparative effectiveness of JAK inhibitors (tofacitinib, baricitinib, upadacitinib) versus TNF blockers
- Biomarker discovery and validation in systemic-sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease and pulmonary arterial hypertension
- Drug-survival analytics using the Australian OPAL dataset and national registries
- Diagnostic accuracy of FDG-PET/CT in giant-cell arteritis
His publication profile (>80 peer-reviewed articles since 2005) reveals sustained productivity in pharmaco-epidemiology, with 15 first- or senior-author papers in 2020-2025 alone. No competitive grants, patents or postgraduate student lists are disclosed in the supplied text.
