Professor Paul Andrew Bird is a Conjoint Professor at the St George & Sutherland Clinical School, University of New South Wales, and a practicing Rheumatologist in private practice. He serves as Medical Director of Optimus Clinical Research, a clinical research center conducting Phase 2, 3, and 4 trials of novel agents for rheumatic diseases. Professor Bird is actively involved in undergraduate medical education at UNSW as a lecturer and examiner, and serves as co-supervisor for national and international PhD candidates.
