Peter Witte

Peter Witte is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at the University of Maryland, where he teaches fiction, literature, academic writing, and professional writing. His creative work has been published in literary journals including The Threepenny Review, The Sun, Tin House's 'The Open Bar', The Rumpus, and Hobart. He serves as a reader for the New England Review.

His creative practice explores human relationships and everyday experiences through fiction, creative nonfiction, and visual comics. Prior to academia, Witte worked as an urban planner, analyst, and writer across public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
