Lindsay Fowler is an Instructor in the Department of English at the University of Missouri, within the College of Arts and Science. She holds a PhD in English/Creative Writing (2023), an MFA in Creative Writing/Fiction (2015), and a BA in Creative Writing and English Honors (2011). Her research focuses on creative writing pedagogy, speculative fiction/nonfiction, and hybrid genres. She explores narrative forms that blend fact and fiction, such as autofictional retellings of classic works like Virginia Woolf's *To the Lighthouse* and hybrid nonfiction examining human experiences in domestic spaces. Her work has appeared in *Monkeybicycle*, *Tahoma Literary Review*, and *Hobart*, among others.
Dr. Fowler has received significant recognition, including the University of Missouri English Department Dissertation Year Fellowship (2022-2023), the Smokelong Quarterly Award for Flash Fiction Longlist (2018), and the Wigleaf Top 50 Longlist (2018). Her writing often engages with themes of memory, identity, and the surreal within everyday life. She actively contributes to writing education through her teaching and research in pedagogical strategies for creative writing.
