Peter Welz

Peter Welz is a German video and installation artist serving as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Painting + Printmaking at VCUarts Qatar, Virginia Commonwealth University. His work merges kinetic sculpture, video installations, and architectural interventions, often exploring themes of figuration, spatial dynamics, and Samuel Beckett's influence. He collaborates closely with choreographer William Forsythe and has exhibited globally at venues like Centre Pompidou (Paris), MMK Frankfurt, and the Louvre.

Education includes studies at Chelsea College of Art (London), Cooper Union (NYC), and National College of Art & Design (Dublin). Teaching roles span HFT Stuttgart (Architectural Design), Università IUAV Venice (Film & Architecture), and VCUarts Qatar.
