Peter Tucker

Peter Tucker is an Associate Professor in the Art Department at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he has been teaching since 2009. His academic journey includes an M.F.A. from Massachusetts College of Art, a B.F.A. from the University of Texas, and a B.A. from Oklahoma State University.

Professor Tucker's research focuses on Community-based art, Art as Social Practice, Creative Placemaking, and Interactive Sculpture. His work bridges artistic practice with community engagement, creating structured models that generate dialogue about community improvement and perception. He develops projects specifically designed to be implemented by others in different communities, providing comprehensive toolkits to facilitate this process.
