Peter N. Golder is a Professor of Marketing at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He joined Tuck in 2009 and previously held faculty positions at NYU Stern, UCLA, and Peking University. He holds a PhD from the University of Southern California (1994) and a BS from the University of Pennsylvania (1984). His research focuses on market entry timing, new products, long-term market leadership, and quality, earning him numerous prestigious awards including the William F. O’Dell Award and the Berry Book Prize.
Teaching areas include the marketing core course and global marketing strategy, emphasizing global market dynamics, economic conditions, and brand leadership. His work bridges academia and industry, with frequent media appearances on outlets like The Wall Street Journal and The Economist. Key publications explore topics such as sales takeoff prediction, radical innovation origins, and the fragility of market leadership.
