Peter Mösch is a Professor of Social Law at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts' Social Work School, affiliated with the Institute for Social Work and Law. He holds a Licentiate in Laws from Basel University (1998) and an LL.M. in Criminology (2007). His career includes roles as a criminal judge (1999–2002), tenancy legal advisor, and board member for youth welfare organizations. He has extensive experience in legal consulting for social and health sectors.
Research focuses on social welfare law, data protection in social work, adult/youth protection, and legal frameworks for social services. Notable projects include the Central Swiss Disability Policy Framework and studies on fear of crime in public transport. He advises the City of Bern's Social Welfare Commission and chairs editorial roles for Jusletter Weblaw and Pflegerecht journals. His work bridges legal academia with practical social service challenges, emphasizing ethical dilemmas and systemic reforms in welfare provision.
