Beat Reichlin

Beat Reichlin is a Lecturer and Project Manager at the Lucerne School of Social Work (HSLU), where he also leads the Competence Centre for Children and Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding. He holds a lic. iur. from the University of Zurich and has extensive legal experience, including roles as a part-time district judge and legal advisor in child and adult protection authorities. His academic work focuses on child and adult protection law, family law, domestic violence, and social law. He co-leads multiple academic programs, such as the MAS in Social Work and Law, and has authored several books and articles on legal protections for vulnerable individuals. His research addresses cross-kantonal collaboration, human rights in child protection, and quality standards for out-of-home placements. He actively contributes to policy development through projects on NEETs (youth not in education/training/employment), early intervention strategies, and preventing violence against the elderly.
