Peter Mörtenböck is a Lecturer in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London and Professor of Visual Culture at Vienna University of Technology. His research focuses on networked cultures, urban informality, platform urbanism, and data publics. He has held visiting roles globally, including at TU Wien and the Venice Architecture Biennale (2021 curator). His work bridges art, architecture, and socio-political critique, addressing topics like global resource ecologies and urban transformation. Mörtenböck leads projects such as the Networked Cultures initiative and has contributed to exhibitions like World of Matter and Data Is a Relation Not a Property.
