Peter Molander is an Associate Professor and Docent at the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL) at Linköping University, Sweden. He concurrently serves as a licensed psychologist and clinician at a local pain clinic while conducting research in audiology and chronic pain management. His work focuses on internet-based interventions for hearing impairments and psychological aspects of chronic pain rehabilitation. He teaches courses in cognition, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and health psychology within the psychologist and psychotherapist programs, occasionally co-supervising master’s theses.
Research interests include the cognitive and psychological impacts of hearing loss, development of online screening tools for hearing issues, and interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation for conditions like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. He collaborates with the national pain registry to improve primary care pain rehabilitation protocols. His studies bridge clinical psychology with digital health innovations, emphasizing accessibility and scalability of mental health interventions.
Publications highlight themes such as mindfulness in student-athlete populations, hypermobility disorder impacts, and machine learning applications in pain prognosis. His work integrates behavioral science with healthcare delivery systems, aiming to reduce barriers to care through technology.
