Peter Marcotullio is a Professor in the Department of Geography at Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY) and serves as Director of the CUNY Institute for Sustainable Cities (CISC). He holds a PhD in Urban Planning from Columbia University and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia’s Urban Planning program. His research focuses on urban environmental change, with regional expertise in East and Southeast Asia, and he has contributed to major international initiatives such as the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment and IPCC reports.
