Peter Macharia is a spatial epidemiologist and geospatial analyst affiliated with the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp (ITM) in Belgium. He also serves as a Visiting Scientist at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Nairobi, Kenya. His research focuses on spatial health metrics to understand health disparities and inequalities at high spatial and temporal resolution in sub-Saharan Africa and low- and middle-income countries.
