Peter Lee

Peter Lee is the Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Innovation, Law, and Society at the University of California, Davis. His expertise spans patent law, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and science policy. He teaches courses including Intellectual Property, Patent Law, and International Intellectual Property and Development. Lee holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. in History and Science from Harvard University. His research explores innovation's societal implications, with publications in top journals like the Yale Law Journal and Stanford Law Review.

Lee has received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Teaching Award (2016) and the Samsung-Stanford Patent Prize (2011). He is a member of the American Law Institute and has held visiting positions at Oxford, Seoul National University, and Melbourne Law School.
