Peter Lawler is an Honorary Professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Manchester and former Academic Director of the University College for Interdisciplinary Learning (UCIL). He specializes in international relations, focusing on Western internationalism, foreign policy analysis, and normative political theory. His research examines the interplay between national narratives and internationalist identities, with empirical work on Scandinavian states, Canada, Australia, and the UK.
