Peter Kraal

Peter Kraal is a Senior Scientist at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) within the Ocean Systems (OCS) department. His research focuses on marine biogeochemistry, particularly the coupled cycling of iron (Fe), phosphorus (P), carbon (C), and sulfur (S) under varying redox conditions. He employs advanced techniques like X-ray absorption spectroscopy and polymer-based passive sampling to study nutrient dynamics in coastal and deep-sea environments.
