Peter Kapsner serves as a Teaching Partner in Christian Ministries (College of Adult and Professional Studies) and Theological Studies (Bethel Seminary), alongside an Adjunct Assistant Professor role in Biblical and Theological Studies (College of Arts and Sciences) at Bethel University. He has been affiliated with Bethel since 2002.
Education: B.S. from Bethel College (1994), M.Div. from Bethel Seminary (2000), and Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Edinburgh (2012).
Research focuses on New Testament studies, Practical Theology, church history, and contemporary cultural engagement. Specializes in integrating theological reflection with lived ministry practices and historical context. Hosts a radio program on Faith Radio 900 addressing theological and societal issues, and actively contributes to local church leadership.
Teaches courses such as Christian Social Ethics, Human Sexuality, Significance of the New Testament, and Practical Issues in Ministry. Recognized with the American Bible Society’s Excellence in Teaching award.
Labs/Teams: Engaged in academic and pastoral communities through teaching, radio outreach, and pulpit ministry across Minneapolis-area churches.
