Peter Jung

Professor Peter Jung holds the Chair of Communication Technology at Gerhard-Mercator-University Duisburg. Previously, he served as a private educator at the University of Kaiserslautern and Technical University of Dresden, and held executive roles at Siemens AG/Infineon Technologies. His expertise spans wireless communication, software-defined radio, and system integration.

Education:

• Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) and Dr.-Ing. habil. (D.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering, University of Kaiserslautern (1993, 1996)

Research Interests: Focuses on wireless multimedia systems, infrastructure protocols, transmission techniques (e.g., sifirX, JoinTrans), reconfigurable radio (SDR), and smart antenna technologies. His work bridges theoretical analysis and practical implementation challenges in communication systems.
