Peter J. Harte

Peter J. Harte is a Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Cancer Genomics and Epigenomics Program at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on transcriptional activation, repression, chromatin structure, and homeotic genes, particularly their role in Drosophila development.

• Education: Ph.D. in Biology from Yale University (1982), Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University (Biochemistry)

Research interests: Molecular mechanisms of homeotic gene regulation, chromatin remodeling, and Polycomb/Trithorax protein interactions. His work explores how spatial gene expression patterns are maintained through chromatin modifications.
