Peter Hymmen is a Lecturer at Renison University College, where he teaches courses including SOCWK 120R: Introduction to Social Work, SDS 150R: Lifespan Processes, and SDS 251R: Social Research. His prior instructional experience encompasses Social Work Practice with Individuals and Families, Human Development Theory, and Statistical Methods for Social Work Research.
He holds a Ph.D. (ABD) and M.S.W. in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a B.A. (Hons) in Social Development Studies from Renison University College.
Hymmen's research examines transition-aged youth in residential treatment and justice systems, single-session therapy efficacy, and strength-based approaches for clinical populations.
