Peter Hagell is Professor of Caring Science with specialization in Neurology at Kristianstad University's Faculty of Health Science, where he leads the Department of Nursing and Integrated Health Sciences. He serves as research group leader for Patient Reported Outcomes - Clinical Assessment Research and Education (PROCARE) and coordinates the Swedish national network PMhealth for Psychometrics and Metrology in health sciences.
His research focuses on:
- Development and validation of patient-reported outcome measures
- Psychometric methodology including Rasch Measurement Theory
- Clinical studies in Parkinson's disease and neurological disorders
- Person-centered care approaches for chronic conditions
