Peter Edward Gibbs is an Adjunct Professor (Aboriginal Health) at the Rural Health Research Institute, Charles Sturt University. He serves as General Manager at the Regional Enterprise Development Institute (REDI.E) and holds roles on the NSW Geographical Names Board, Skillset Senior College, and the Nulla Nulla Local Aboriginal Land Council in Bourke. His work focuses on improving life outcomes for Aboriginal communities through strategic partnerships with businesses, philanthropy, and government agencies.
Mr. Gibbs is renowned for founding the IPROWD Program, designed to prepare Aboriginal individuals for careers in the NSW Police Force. This initiative, inspired by the tragic death of his sister Fiona in police custody, has become a cornerstone of Indigenous community engagement in NSW.
