Peter David Zuk

Peter David Zuk is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Humanities at The University of Texas at Arlington. His academic background includes a PhD (2019), MA (2014), and BA (2012) in Philosophy from Rice University and Pepperdine University, respectively.

Research focuses on neuroethics, biomedical ethics, and moral philosophy. Notable work includes exploring mental integrity and autonomy in healthcare contexts. He serves on multiple departmental committees (Planning, Appeals, Lectures, Research) and advises on theology-related matters. Professionally, he chairs the Neuroethics Affinity Group of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities and co-edits for Frontiers in Psychiatry and Frontiers in Digital Health.

Teaching includes courses like Biomedical Ethics, Moral Problems, and Introduction to Philosophy. Recent presentations address topics like neuroethical perspectives on brain-based visual prostheses and hermeneutical injustice in mental privacy contexts.
