Peter Constantinou

Peter Constantinou is a Professor at the School of Public Policy and Administration, York University, and Academic Director of the Ontario Legislature Internship Programme. He is also President and CEO of the Political Acuity Institute, blending academic rigor with practical policy application in public governance.

Dr. Constantinou's research centers on public policy, governance, and political acuity, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and institutional relations in the public sector. His work has significantly influenced municipal governance training across Canada and internationally, particularly through his landmark study on council-staff relations.

His advisory and training initiatives have reached over 480 Chinese government partners and included more than 500 lectures and workshops globally, spanning countries such as Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, Israel, Peru, the UK, and Vietnam. He has collaborated with the International Financial Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, advising academic and government leaders worldwide.

Dr. Constantinou has also served as a visiting professor and workshop facilitator at Zhejiang Shuren University and Suqian College in China, further extending his international impact.
