His 100+ publications reveal consistent focus on healthcare financing mechanisms, telemedicine implementation, and health equity. Recent work analyzes private insurance schemes, non-communicable disease management in primary care, and maternal health policy impacts - demonstrating how context-specific interventions can advance Universal Health Coverage in African health systems.
He has mentored 12+ PhD students and 200+ postgraduates while serving as external examiner for multiple Ghanaian universities. Major grants include DANIDA-funded malaria research (1999-2003), EU-supported RODAM study on diabetes among African migrants (2011-2014), and German-funded capacity building initiatives that launched KNUST's MPhil/MPH programs in 2017.
Prof. Agyei-Baffour leads international collaborations including the Partner I program on artisanal mining health impacts with Canadian/Michigan teams and contributes to Ghana's health policy framework through work on the Mental Health Bill and National Health Insurance Scheme reforms.
