Joseph Kwasi Brenyah

Dr. Joseph Kwasi Brenyah serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Global and International Health at the School of Public Health, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, a position held since August 1, 2020. He concurrently acts as an adjunct Instructor at Anaesthesia Training School-Kumasi, framing these roles as foundational for his aspiration to become a renowned global health professor.

His educational trajectory includes a Ph.D. from the University of Ghana and University of Wyoming (USA), undergraduate and postgraduate certificates in Policy Planning and Health Services Planning and Management from KNUST, a Teachers' Certificate 'A' from Wesley College Kumasi, and secondary education at Presbyterian Secondary School-Bechem (GCE 'O' Level) and Prempeh College-Kumasi (GCE 'A' Level).

Research centers on Global Health Issues with concentrated expertise in Non-communicable Diseases, Vulnerabilities Studies, Social Protection, and Poverty Dynamics—addressing systemic health challenges in resource-limited contexts through interdisciplinary collaboration. His scholarly output includes 6 published papers with additional manuscripts under review, progressively focusing on his core specialty areas.

Professional experience encompasses 10 years as Principal Health Services Administrator and Head of Domestics Services Directorate at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he received the Best Administration Staff award in 2013. Certified as a Chartered Administrator by the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultancy, he has presented at numerous local and international conferences while serving on multiple hospital committees.
