Petar Suman is a Researcher and PhD candidate in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Relativity and Gravitation research group and the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology (CTC). His work focuses on inflationary models and cosmic microwave background (CMB) analysis to detect non-Gaussianities in the early Universe. He holds a BA in Natural Sciences (2018–2021) and an MMath in Part III Mathematics (2021–2022), both from the University of Cambridge.
Research interests include calculating higher-order cosmological correlation functions (e.g., CMB bispectrum) under the supervision of Dr. James Fergusson. His studies aim to constrain inflationary models using observational data from the CMB radiation.
Teaching responsibilities include contributing to the Physics A module of the Part 1B Natural Sciences Tripos, covering Quantum Physics, Oscillations Waves and Optics, Experimental Methods, and Condensed Matter.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Relativity and Gravitation group at DAMTP and the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology (CTC).
