Prof. Peta Stapleton is a leading Clinical and Health Psychologist at Bond University, where she serves as Chair of Graduate Research. Her work focuses on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or Tapping), biochemistry changes in psychological interventions, and maternal mental health. She has been honored with the Harvey Baker Research Award and Psychologist of the Year (2019).
Education: PhD in Psychology from Griffith University (2003).
Research Interests: EFT efficacy, chronic pain, adverse childhood experiences, PTSD, and mindfulness-based interventions.
Recent Projects: Investigating EFT for PTSD and exploring ACEs' impact on alcohol use and binge eating.
Awards: Harvey Baker Research Award, Psychologist of the Year (2019).
Grants/Activities: Led FSD Research Project Grants on ACEs and binge eating. Actively publishes in European Journal of Pain, Therapeutic Sciences, and others. Engages in editorial roles and media outreach.
