Pervin Başaran Akocak

Pervin Başaran Akocak is a Professor at Istanbul Technical University's Department of Food Engineering. With over 25 years of experience, she specializes in food safety, plasma treatments, and non-thermal processing technologies. Her work addresses microbial control in food systems, particularly focusing on aflatoxin prevention in nuts and postharvest preservation of fruits and vegetables.
