Perla Y. Sauceda Olono is a Lecturer and Director of General Chemistry Teaching Laboratories at the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, Clemson University. She earned her B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering (2015), M.S. in Nanotechnology (2017) from Universidad de Sonora, Mexico, and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Clemson University (2024).

Her research focuses on materials science and sustainable chemistry, particularly in developing polymer composites using sulfur and industrial waste for upcycling applications. She has also explored nanotechnology for biomedical purposes, including theranostic agents and drug delivery systems.
Recent publications highlight her work on sulfur-based composites, waste upcycling, and thermal/mechanical property optimization. Her research aligns with green chemistry and environmental sustainability.
